BB&T’s Peachtree City branch volunteered at Christian City Children’s Village and donated five new desktop computers through the bank’s “Lighthouse Project.” The group also volunteered their time and effort at Christian City, helping with several different projects across the 500-acre campus.

BB&T meets earnings projections with solid third-quarter performance
BB&T Corp. had a steady-as-you-go performance in the third quarter, matching analysts’ earnings projections as it lowered expenses, and credit quality continued to improve. The nation’s eighth largest bank reported Thursday having net income of $597 million, down 0.3 percent from a year ago. Diluted earnings were 74 cents, up 1 cent. BB&T took $47 million in merger and restructuring charges in the quarter worth 4 cents.
