Virtual Banking Specialist Mike Silva is a rising star in BB&T’s new Virtual Banking Center, which launched in 2018 to meet the needs of our clients who prefer a virtual banking experience through phone or chat.
“I’m currently helping a client with an auto loan who didn’t realize he had negative equity in the car he wants to trade in. By talking with him and explaining the financial implications, he’s looking at other options to put himself and his family in the best financial situation. Thanks to the help of the Virtual Banking Center, this client in Georgia has now decided to do all his banking with BB&T,” Silva said.
From deposit accounts, credit cards, loans, mortgages, investments, insurance and retirement, Silva helps pair the right products with the right people. He works with clients, as well as BB&T associates, to meet their financial needs.
Getting to know someone is key because you can recommend ideas that meet their goals over time. That’s how Silva puts BB&T’s tagline – All we see is you – into action.
“Everything we do revolves around our clients – it’s how we live up to ‘All we see is you,’” Silva said. “BB&T takes the time to understand our clients and truly advocates for them. We’re about building long-lasting relationships with our clients and their families.”
But Silva isn’t all work and no play. Outside of BB&T, he devotes time to his two beautiful children and hits up the gym so he can keep up with them. But pretty soon, it might be Silva who will be hard to keep up with!
“I remember when I first started my career four years ago as a branch banker at one of the busiest branches in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Through hard work and patience, and with great leaders, I've grown and learned so much,” Silva said. “I have the chance to change banking for our clients and make history at BB&T! The Virtual Banking Center has changed the way we do banking. I truly believe the sky is the limit.”
