DARYL N. BIBLE
Title: Chief Financial Officer, BB&T Corporation
Daryl Bible joined BB&T in January 2008 after a 24-year career with U.S. Bancorp, the last 10 years as treasurer. He began his career in the Management Development Program at U.S. Bank predecessor Star Banc. Bible served in a number of key positions prior to treasurer, including financial analyst, asset/liability manager, investment portfolio manager and funds manager. He was named “Bank Borrower of the Year” for 2007 by Euromoney magazine. He was named BB&T’s chief financial officer January 1, 2009. As CFO his responsibilities include accounting, tax, treasury, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, capital planning, mergers and acquisitions, enterprise spend management, financial systems, support services and facilities management. He was recognized by Institutional Investor magazine’s All-American Executive Team as Best CFO – 2011 – 1st place by sell side analysts and 3rd place by buy side analysts; 2012 – 3rd place by sell side analysts; 2013 – 1st place by sell side analysts and 2nd place by buy side analysts; 2014 – 2nd place by sell side analysts; 2015 - 3rd place by sell side analysts; and 2016 – 2nd place by sell side analysts and 3rd place by buy side analysts.
